Retail investors have the odds stacked against them. Many platforms are built to encourage activity, not discipline — opaque fee structures, interfaces that reward impulse, and “signals” sold by people with no stake in whether they actually work. Meanwhile, the infrastructure that does the part that matters — systematic entries and exits, position sizing, drawdown control — sits inside hedge funds or you need a quant background most people don’t have.
The outcome is predictable. People hold losers too long and cut winners too early, size positions by feel, and find out what their real risk tolerance was on the one day it counted. This is why I built Vaunt.
I’ve always admired trading as a profession due to the technical, brutal and raw nature of it and experiencing all the new financial technology emerging to empower the everyday person fueled my vision. Robinhood, Kraken, Coinbase, Revolut, Wise, Plaid, Hyperliquid (and many more) all set the bar for fintech innovation. Now AI only takes us further.
In April 2026, I was in Bali (I’m sorry!) asking people if they would ever use an automated trader I had built and 90% said yes, so I considered that my market validation. Relatively wealthy travelers living in Bali running their own businesses with busy schedules loved this idea, so I continued digging. And as I researched more, I found the pain points everyone faces trading online.
Vaunt became my answer — a multi-asset trading automation service. What started as an obsession to design powerful automated strategies for myself has now become an execution platform: regime-aware and always on with systematic entries and exits, position sizing, and risk controls for your own non-custodial account. Every strategy is measured against forward-tested evidence before it goes near real capital, and the ones that fail that bar get killed rather than shipped. That discipline is the product as much as any single strategy is.
The multi-asset vision is already underway. Alongside crypto, Vaunt trades tokenized real-world assets — equities, indices and commodities — through tokenized perpetual markets, all governed by the same risk engine. As more of the world’s assets become tokenized, that book widens. The goal is an operating system where retail and institutional traders can automate part of a portfolio, whether they’re pursuing aggressive returns or compounding steadily.
We’re building deliberately. There’s one plan at $20/month, with a 7-day free trial and no per-trade commission. We’re keeping the early community intentionally small while the platform is refined against real users, real fills and real feedback.
If you’re curious, have questions, or want to help shape what this becomes, I’d like to hear from you.
